The Wall Street Journal reported today that Google is planning on launching a mobile media search engine to help mobile users find and buy ring tones, mobile videos, mobile games and other mobile content. The launch is expected to have a social element that will work with user’s gmail accounts to allow mobile content to be shared. It is not yet clear what other types of interactions Google is planning to create with its other online applications.
